high cpu usage by windows modules installer worker post 3/14 update

so, the cumulative update for kb4013429 and kb4013418 went in for me last night, I'm thinking ok cool, about time I saw another update...

I load up star trek online to run the breach event today and right away I notice hellishly slow in I FLEW INTO A WALL, despite trying to steer to avoid it, so I figure, load up task manager, as I only see performance hits in STO whenever something's eating cpu usage, usually skype's new browser host doohickey..nope. none of my skype windows are up(and thats the only time I see the browser host cause..banner ads, we NEED those microsoft -sarcasm-)

so, I check that nothing else is eating cpu, like avast's various processes...nope, not even an update is running.

I actually manually check those usual culprit sources for the record..

so I reopen task manager and then click on the cpu tab on processes...and whoa module installer worker has been running, and is eating precisely half my cpu capacity and has been for the past 40 minutes(the typical breach run takes 20 minutes, I've run two, do the math :P ).

what the sam hell is going on with this idjut computer now? should I be calling it what my late grandfather, rest his soul used to back in the windows 98 days, 'that damned idiot box'?

    You too, eh!?
    At least yours is running.
I cannot open anything post update, it totally messed up my PC.
I am in safe mode right now.

I was about ready to say 'hang this shtacko I'm done' and go fire up my least when they break something there...they either fix it within a day or push a patch that reverts the changes that broke shtacko.

..I'm of the mindset that I'll have better luck playing hide and seek with the snipers in the lmb territory in the division.

You are still playing the Division lol?
    Ghost Town!
They lied to us all after stating there would NEVER be micro-transactions.
I think I have 2 people in my 100+ list who still play it.
I logged in last week to try it again but same old poo lol.
Now For Honor...that is awesome minus the peer to peep but it is Ubisoft and they usually suck haha.
Still play Siege a lot however but I cannot because MS broke my PC with their crap update.

I keep finding tons of people in the division. usually 12-15 in a given safe house at any one time and the darkzone's always lit up. maybe you've been finding empty instances?

Well there are people for sure but the numbers have dropped 75% since launch.
Many left after issues with the DZ and never came back.

I never seem to have issues finding people to run with if I want I dunno.

...and the errant service has done whatever the frak it needed to and stopped?
