Still getting used to having an SSD Drive, supposedly it trimmed autoly on March 9th, so that's good, now looked into Smart data in Western Digitals SSD Dashboard, and got a concern, that possibly somethings writing a lot
I might be concerned over nothing, but rather be safe than sorry
If too much is being written still to it, i'll see if I can get more files off it, or move the pagefile to my secondary drive
Leave the pagefile alone. No need to move it. Writes are really not a concern on modern ssd's like they may have been on first gen ssd drives many years ago.
Oh ok, this is my very first SSD, so little bit extra cautious than I normally am lol
Just use it. I have an Intel SSD nearly 8 years old going fine.

Modern SSD's are probably more robust and long lasting than Spinners
It's amazing isn't it how things that might have been of concern YEARS ago are still of concern today -- just look at the average MTBF of SSD's compared to spinners.
Another thing that people seem to waste time doing is often spending HOURS on defragging a spinner -- I've never found this even YEARS ago when a 20GB spinner was considered HUGE (note 1 did say 20 not 200GB or 2TB) it didn't make any significant difference -- and in any case even if you still believe in performing this utterly futile and pointless exercise you would achieve a far better result by simply "imaging" the HDD and restoring with something like FREE MACRIUM and select the "smart copy" option. Not only is this operation FAR quicker you've also made a backup which you should do regularly anyway.
Never defrag an SSD though that is even more futile and pointless than HDD defragging.

In fact. given OS is only written once mostly, that portion of the drive does not really need defragging. You can pretty much defrag quickly by simply copying all data files using file explorer to another drive, deleting it on initial drive and then just copying it back.
Anyway hardly needed with modern OS/large drives as you say.

My most used OS in fact boots from a Micro SD card in the server (just the boot loader) which then loads the OS from an SSD. Takes a few seconds longer as the boot loader is read from the micro sd card but works fine -- I have to do this rather than boot directly from SSD as this server only boots from the SSD port if the whole thing is in "RAID" mode -- and since the RAID is 100% terrible (It's a fake "pseudo" RAID system) I simply disable it in BIOS and use SATA / AHCI mode and enable RAID via software instead for a HUGE performance gain (4 X 4 TB HDD's in 2 Arrays).
I'm running CENTOS on this server with the swap on the SSD, and also 1 X W10 VM and 1 XP VM from the SSD - no prob at all with writes etc - everything on the SSD.
The HDD's serve multi-media / files / internet gateway / backups while for the VM's and main OS I still use things like photoshop / video editing scratch files etc on the SSD -- no probs at all and I have a cloned copy of the SSD which takes seconds to replace the original if I need to. !! A 256GB SSD these days is really so affordable it makes sense to get a spare !!! if using for an OS and just replace it if the original goes defective. Haven't had an SSD ever fail on me either on this machine or in laptops.
Server is an HP Gen 8 ProLiant cube type Microserver with the standard Celeron processor replaced by a HYPERTHREADING XEON -- well worth the mod as these can be got reasonably cheaply now.
Just stop worrying about SSD wear and tear - just treat it as a spinner -- but you can also drop these, they can be roughly handled at airports etc and I've had one clatter down an Escalator at Kings Cross Metro station in London without any damage at all. !!!

Thank you all so much for the replies, I feel relieved now that seems I have nothing to worry about, my very first ssd drive, so little extra cautious still currently, but slowly adapting to it, though system speed much faster on start up and loading of the 1 game I did put on the SSD, rest are on storage drive.
And Next Month just get the Creators update properly onto the SSD, and all good, thinking will do inplace upgrade, and select keep files, and let it do the install that way, then delete WIndows old, and should be good I think

the benefit by relocating your pagefile to a secondary SSD is synchronous reads and writes in parallel with your main SSD especially if your available memory is low.
Yeah except I only got 1 SSD, and 1 Spinner drive, but will keep that in mind for the future
