hello everyone after i bought my new laptop i have checked that my cpu speed it wont past the 1.58ghz frequency,it hits that speed or lower while only very few times passes this barrier of speed,the turbo boost is 2.56ghz but even when i play video games wont get there all solutions are accepted thank you so much

I have an older laptop that sometimes gets stuck in the 'slow lane' like this. Usually happens after running for a week or so, hibernating when not needed. I'll be watching this thread with interest to see if someone knows a permanent cure, but in the mean time I'll tell you how I get mine back to full speed.
Do a Restart - not a Shut down. Shutting down and starting again isn't sufficient to reset everything, not with fast-start enabled.
