Like this. Search for, download, install, run. Post screenshot like that.

    1. Unfortunately that's not the result of chkdsk, so we don't know it yet.

    2. When you know that's good, please run and post the result of running SFC /SCANNOW - just what's displayed on the screen, not the CBS.log file.

    Thanks.

I noticed in your post #2, your computer has a lot of missing EXEs; although I normally do not recommend registry cleaners, I'm wondering if the following will help you:
-- after you have made full images of your OS and data partitions onto reliable external media
-- after you have used tweaking.com's registry backup & restore to make a registry backup
-- Auslogics Registry Cleaner, you can safely click all the boxes
-- Wise Registry Cleaner, Custom Area do not click User MRU Lists or Sound & App.
Restart the computer maybe twice, allow Windows to come to full desktop.
Please report back and tell us what happened! The above has worked well for me for years.
BTW, both Auslogics and Wise offer other things within those programs -- ignore all that.
And, do only custom or advanced installs! Unclick, decline any extra offerings.

    Avoid registry cleaners.
    Disk ok- that's good.

    Still waiting for
    a. Chkdsk results
    b. SFC /SCANNOW results
    c. For you to try this as previously posted.
Then try a clean boot and compare the boot time.
Also try booting to Safe Mode and compare the boot time.

Then try a clean boot and compare the boot time.
Clean Boot - Perform in Windows 10 to Troubleshoot Software Conflicts
    (first part)

Also try booting to Safe Mode and compare the boot time.
(To boot to Safe Mode start with SHIFT + left click restart, and navigate CAREFULLY thru the prompts)
If you need more- find the appropriate Tutorial.

"...Avoid registry cleaners..." I must with utmost respect disagree. Properly used, Auslogics and Wise registry cleaners have been useful in removing dead entries, references to non-existent EXEs/DLLs/etc. While such cleaning does nothing for speeding up computer, does nothing for SlimmingTrimming computer, they do when properly used serve a purpose: removing dead wood which sometimes can partially clog the stream.

Please see discussion elsewhere in the forum on these tools-where the conclusion is that an increase in performance is not obtained by their use. More damage has been done than benefits gained. But each to his own. Presumably you do use disk imaging to protect yourself should things go wrong....
