    Resource And Performance Monitor Issues

I tried to generate a system diagnostics report.
    By typing,
    perfmon /report,
    into elevated command prompt.
Bring up the Resource And Performance Monitor window,
    seen in my screenshot below.

This dialog ran for more then 8 hours.
    Subsequently...
    I stopped it,
due to the length of time it was running.
The dialog run continually as described,
    without generating a report.

    Is something wrong here?

Same here. Noticed that a few days back and left it to try again. Long time since I ran it.

I started running it just before I went to sleep and in the morning,
(about 8 hours or more) it was still running.

That doesn't seem "normal" to me.

    Maintenance issue? Just a guess!
I ran it, just in a 'Run' box though, generated a report in about a minute. Same Build.

I have the same problem as the OP, however I start it, the command 'perfmon /report' never seems to finish. I tried three times with the same result. However, I then ran just the command 'perfmon'. I can see that I now have three successfully completed System Diagnostics reports. The problem seems to be with telling you that it has finished, not with generating the report itself - odd.

What would be the maintenance issue(s),
that would cause this dialog to run continually without generating a report?

Are you sure it didn't generate a report? Mine did, just didn't come back and tell me it had finished. Try just opening perfmon and see if the report is there after all.

I can't tell, don't know where to look.
Where would I look for any report that might have been generated?

From a command prompt just type PERFMON to run Perfmon. Then look here...

The report above was generated when I ran 'perfmon /report' from an elevated command prompt. Like you, mine appeared to never finish. Eventually I gave up and closed it. Subsequently opening Perfmon showed a report had been generated after all.
