I posted this in another thread, but you might want to d/l & run this program, it's free.

    RAMMap

Use RAMMap to gain understanding of the way Windows manages memory, to analyze application memory usage, or to answer specific questions about how RAM is being allocated. RAMMap’s refresh feature enables you to update the display and it includes support for saving and loading memory snapshots.
Also, Process Explorer, another free program, is better to use then the task manger. It gives much more information on the running processes to further investigate problems.

    Process Explorer

The Process Explorer display consists of two sub-windows. The top window always shows a list of the currently active processes, including the names of their owning accounts, whereas the information displayed in the bottom window depends on the mode that Process Explorer is in: if it is in handle mode you'll see the handles that the process selected in the top window has opened; if Process Explorer is in DLL mode you'll see the DLLs and memory-mapped files that the process has loaded. Process Explorer also has a powerful search capability that will quickly show you which processes have particular handles opened or DLLs loaded.

Thank you very much, I've downloaded RAMMap and it showed some interesting stuff, it seems like my mapped file's and shareable take a considerable chunk of my memory. Memory Usage High but I'm Not Sure Why.-2016_12_24_21_22_091.png

Hmm seems lie you are getting on top of it with the others but I was going to ask how much RAM the AV was taking up as I know from the past it can eat away at the memory although probably not that much.

I don't know about the others but I would even try running this Download WinDirStat to see what is actually eating up anything.

Well my AV is pretty much insignificant in terms of memory usage, it using currently around 12 MB, not much, only when it scans my system it uses my disk a lot, more than the rest of the programs but the AV doesn't take much memory at all.

Ok mate I asked because my Kaspersky does use a fair bit as do some of the other big brands - now I still think a try with the link I sent would be helpful in seeing just what you have "onboard".

Yes mate well at least it gives you an idea of how much stuff you have on the drive and you just dig into it to find what is using a great deal of space and I am assuming also the RAM If you look at the top of that listing there is stuff that is using a quite a large amount of disk space and I would be digging around to see what is using RAM so much.

Ok now just how much memory is that process taking up??

Edit: Sorry but am going to have to go offline right now because of my broadband being simple atrocious but will be back.
It's taking very negligible amount, compared to what is really happening.
