Windows 10: Memory Usage High but I'm Not Sure Why.

I posted this in another thread, but you might want to d/l & run this program, it's free.
Also, Process Explorer, another free program, is better to use then the task manger. It gives much more information on the running processes to further investigate problems.
Use RAMMap to gain understanding of the way Windows manages memory, to analyze application memory usage, or to answer specific questions about how RAM is being allocated. RAMMapís refresh feature enables you to update the display and it includes support for saving and loading memory snapshots.
The Process Explorer
display consists of two sub-windows. The top window always shows a list of the currently active processes, including the names of their owning accounts, whereas the information displayed in the bottom window depends on the mode that Process Explorer
is in: if it is in handle mode you'll see the handles that the process selected in the top window has opened; if Process Explorer
is in DLL mode you'll see the DLLs and memory-mapped files that the process has loaded. Process Explorer
also has a powerful search capability that will quickly show you which processes have particular handles opened or DLLs loaded.
Thank you very much, I've downloaded RAMMap and it showed some interesting stuff, it seems like my mapped file's and shareable take a considerable chunk of my memory.

Any suggestions to what i can do about this? Anything here that i havent pointed out as well feel free to post and suggest some solutions to them.
Hmm seems lie you are getting on top of it with the others but I was going to ask how much RAM the AV was taking up as I know from the past it can eat away at the memory although probably not that much.
I don't know about the others but I would even try running this Download WinDirStat to see what is actually eating up anything.
Well my AV is pretty much insignificant in terms of memory usage, it using currently around 12 MB, not much, only when it scans my system it uses my disk a lot, more than the rest of the programs but the AV doesn't take much memory at all.
Ok mate I asked because my Kaspersky does use a fair bit as do some of the other big brands - now I still think a try with the link I sent would be helpful in seeing just what you have "onboard".
This is the only image i can get haha, but there you go, not sure what you would want from it.
Think I would ditch the Chrome browser and see if that changes things for ya!
Yes mate well at least it gives you an idea of how much stuff you have on the drive and you just dig into it to find what is using a great deal of space and I am assuming also the RAM If you look at the top of that listing there is stuff that is using a quite a large amount of disk space and I would be digging around to see what is using RAM so much.
It's taking very negligible amount, compared to what is really happening.
This is after 30 mins of few tabs open.
I am here today as I have had a problem with System and Compressed Memory since I installed Windows 10 back in December of 2015.
Now keep in mind, this isn't a normal issue, as I have yet to actually find anything in regards to what...
It seems that I've been getting low memory issues ever since upgrading to Win10, but I'm not 100% certain if thats the issue. I thought about uprading to 16gb ram, but I'd like to know if theres some other fix for this. I can't multitask as I used...
Hello, I'm running a 64 bit Windows 10 laptop. On idle, the System process is showing a high memory usage of more than 150 MB, usually more than 200 MB. Using poolmon the pooltag SpDN showed up with a memory leak. It leads to the Intel Matrix...
Hello, I have a question.
The system process (ntoskrnl.exe) using excessive amount of RAM. So, how do I fix that?
Hello everyone. I used win 7 before win 10 and now I have an issue with memory. For instance, playing games like nba2k15 my computer used about 2.6-2.8 GB of 4 GB but not more than 3 GB in win 7. Now it uses almost all 4 GB and of course it lags....
