Well, I tried your suggestions with the same outcome. According to the different attempts to fix this issue, my SSD is OK and my software is OK... but for some reason, my computer hangs at 100% anyway. I appreciate all your suggestions, but I just went into my registry and changed autocheck autochk* to autocheck autochk /k:c /k:d* and my computer no longer does the scan. Thanks again.

When you run Chkdsk /F, it will run at the next startup. Let it run to completion. When you answered N to the prompt, Chkdsk was not run. Answer Y to allow it to run at the next startup and restart your system. It may take some time, so be patient.

I let it run for over 16 hours and it was still stuck. Are you telling me that I should have let it keep going until it finished? I've read several comments concerning this same issue where people have let it go 2,3,4 days and it didn't finish. There's something stopping it from completing and it's stuck in a loop. When I hit reset the "Scanning and Repairing Drive C 100% Complete" will appear for a couple seconds and then go to my desktop.

I know this is an old thread, but I've found myself in the exact same situation after applying some driver updates that were offered by Windows 10 Update. I tried to do a system restore to get those drivers purged out with no such luck. Wonder if anyone came up with a solution? I know the drive is fine, but cannot figure out why it hangs at 100% complete?

I have the same problem after feature update to Windows 10 version 2004. Use chkdsk c: /F /R, reboot, and computer hangs at 100%. It is like the computer can't then find a boot source.
