Windows by default uses all cores as needed. I recommend leaving it that way.
Windows also uses by default what ever ram is needed that is installed.
I also recommend leaving it as default.

A list of Start Up items would be helpful.
Default is to use all the cores if box is not checked but if it's checked (I have seen it ) and only less that actual number of cores/threads is set than windows will not use them all. It does happen every now and than that box is checked by default and it has impact on performance. So only if box is not checked you may expect windows to use them all.
I personally have never seen a check mark unless I put it there.
Mine is always like this unless I change it from default myself.
I sort of solved problem. I physically disconnected the old drive. Boot time now 15 sec.
But now I've lost a 1 TB internal drive. I always had the SSD in front of the old drive in the boot order and I had it turned off via Devices. So with all that, the BIOS was still looking for the old drive. Not sure what to do now to retrieve the old drive.
Sounds like your BIOS thinks it should still boot from the 1TB drive and is hanging there until it times out and moves on to check your other drives.
In addition to the setting for boot device order (DVD's, HDD's, USB etc) my bios has a separate setting that allows me to select the order in which multiple HDD's (inc any SSD's) should be accessed when trying to boot.
Sounds like hdd is marked as the active boot drive ... when the ssd should be the only active drive.
Hi guys I just found a way to skip this in my PC the issue was on ATI driver and an option called ULPS just disabled and the boot time went from 1:45 to 15!
Open regedit
search for EnableULPS
change the value to "0"
reboot

My boot time in Windows 10 is pretty good. I just wish MS would get rid and/or stop the black screens during the boot. Window 10 for me boots about 5 times as fast as it did in Win 7.
I have a dell laptop woth HD6470M AMD dual graphics with intel as my two graphic processors. This graphic card from AMD is now shown as HD7400 AMD in the device manager with Windows 10 and this has increased my boot time. I have a 10 second period until the windows screen turns up which stays on for like 5 seconds. Then I have a blank screen for approximately 75 seconds. Could any of you help me out because, a similar problem with windows 7 recognizing different graphics card change had me getting BSODs after like an year of usage which led me to replacement of the motherboard. My warranty is now void and it would be of immense help if any of you could find a solution.
I tried the boot time custom view, although it has been a week since I downloaded, it shows 0 events in that custom view.
