it may take a 4 gig but its pretty much up to you to try.
crucial memory upgrade site only lists a 2 gig.
RAM & SSD Upgrades | Samsung NF310 | Crucial.com
I've tried a 4 gig but not sure if it's the right type of memory (Hynix 1 X 4GB 1Rx8 PC3-12800S-11-11-B2 DDR3).

It didn't boot up.
Then your limited to 2 gigs, sorry .
DDR3 PC3-12800 is the right type.
I have the same problem with my Acer 150 wouldn't boot with a 4 gig.
you can speed up the system a bit with sd card set for ready boost.
Thought so. Thanks Thomas; very much appreciated. What an interesting thread this is! I've learned so much from it and it's enheartening to see you all pursuing this just for the love of it, a love that I've only recently discovered in myself through little netbooks.
since 1809 worked on an old D101GGC board using a hyperthreaded Intel Pentium 4 Prescott (524) cpu, (tested that months ago), it seems the 1903 version works too (mobo has onboard ATI Xpress 200 graphics - barely wddm capable; can only use up to 2Gb ram max)
Hello!
I just upgraded an Acer Extensa from Windows 10 Pro v1809 to v1903. Specs are Intel Core 2 Duo T7250, 4GB RAM, Intel 4 Graphics etc. Not really an old computer, but I wanted to share my experience. First of all, graphics work with Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, while on next Windows Update I should see Intel 4 Graphics family. It had done it in previous upgrades, so I don't worry, just run Windows Update to install the driver. I also tried to run Customizer God to change the system icons to those of Windows 8.1 but I saw that in file imageres.dll there were too many changes in the icons that I could not simply select them all and replace, as I always do. This displayed an error at some point and changed some of the icons while others were corrupted. I had to go in Command Prompt as Administrator and run the following to restore the original icons:
sfc /scannow
So far I haven't seen any remarkable differences, apart that some settings in Windows Update like pause for 7 days etc. If I find anything else, I'll let you know.
