    Recycle Bin missing ability to Empty

    Saw a thread on the eight forums that might help me but had some issues with merging...
    Solved Getting back 'Empty Recycle Bin' Context Menu On Recycle Bin

    So apparently a program I uninstalled that had some controls over my Recycle Bin (from IObit, what garbage) has now corrupted my recycle bin so that I can't 'Empty' it. The context menu just shows the entry "empty" just like that, not even capitalized, where the Empty Recycle Bin used to be.

    Also, when you're inside the Recycle Bin, the 'Manage' option on the ribbon is missing. I can empty it via cmd prompt and via CCleaner, but I want the original functionality restored.

    Any ideas?

    Yes I have. I actually ran it again just in case...

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>sfc /scannow

    Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

    Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.

    Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

    I've looked at that thread and compared @Brink's post #8 ...
    Double check the key to see if has the entries below that the .reg file adds.
    Code:
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\shell\empty]
    "MUIVerb"="@shell32.dll,-10564"
    "Description"="@shell32.dll,-31332"
    "CommandStateHandler"="{c9298eef-69dd-4cdd-b153-bdbc38486781}"
    "Icon"="shell32.dll,-254"

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\shell\empty\command]
    "DelegateExecute"="{48527bb3-e8de-450b-8910-8c4099cb8624}"

    Boom, thank you! I wasn't setting the ownership of the key correctly before trying to merge. Once I got that figured out, it worked perfectly. Sorry for possibly making an un-necessary thread. Had I just read the original thread correctly I could have figured it out haha.

    Hardly unnecessary if this Solved thread helps others to get it right first attempt. Glad to have helped you get it working.
