    Windows 10 Stuttering mvs91xx.sys

    Hi everyone,

I just recently upgrade to windows 10. The first few weeks were really smooth, solved a few of my little annoyances from the old windows 7, but now I'm getting a stuttering problem. At first it showed up when I was playing Civ 6, so I had assumed it had something to do with the game, but now it's apparent it's happening to everything.

I searched a lot online and tried using Latencymon, the result returned was mvs91xx.sys is the one consistently causing this. Can anyone here advise me what this means? My computer 4 years old now, I am planning on upgrading once the new generation of CPU comes out, but that's still quite a while away.

Another thing I noticed is for some reason Latencymon is saying I have Windows 8 when in fact I have Windows 10 pro, don't know if that means anything.

    Thanks in advance.

mvs91xx is your Marvell Sata Controller driver. Perhaps go to Dell and tour specific computer and see if there is an updated Windows 10 driver. You may need to check your hard drive also.

Thank you. I think I missed the most basic reason......my hard drive is almost full. I cleared some space and it has subsided. Marking as solved.
