Yes, I had the same on 2 PCs. It.s safe to disk cleaner and recover the space.
It seems to be a quirk with latest 321 build. On an older AMD Phenom it just rebooted spontaneusly when running it.

Cumulative Update KB3194798 for Windows 10 PC Mobile build 14393.321 - Page 8 - Windows 10 ForumsOpening up an admin prompt and pasting this in: Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore will get rid of it faster than Windows Update Cleanup(at least it did for me).
Scared me too the first time I saw this back in August. That's when I found the explanation (which Cliff S quotes in the above linked post). It's safe to let Disk Clean-up run, but @Cliff S's method is a neater and faster solution.
@EdTittel has also picked up on my post and explained in far more detail than I could how this can happen.
Windows Update Clean-up files 3.99TBThanks, Bree for the explanation and resource. It provided the inspiration for my blog post today.
Really helpful responses. Thanks guys. My cleanup took about 15 minutes of sheer agony. But after restart all is well.
