Is it possible that because you're using a tablet without that much storage space, upgrading to Anniversary edition has set the default HIbernation to Reduced which is enough to support Hybrid/Fast Boot but not full HIbernation ?

If this is the case you can change the Hibernate file type by opening an Elevated Command Prompt and running the command

powercfg /h /type full

This is what I've needed whenever I've reinstalled windows on on my Lenovo Miix 3 1030 tablet to enable hibernation support so it's worth a try.

There's more details on the hibernate file types here along with the correct commands to switch between them

may your System does not support Hibernate at all. I have one Intel z7300 that does support Hibernate.
But you can try this: Powercfg /restoredefaultschemes
Reboot
Again: Powercfg /hibernate on
If Hibernate still does not show up , your system does not support Hibernate. Do not waste your time

just for people having the issue in future.
I did follow your Link and just checked my Z3700 laptop and ......surprise.....I have Hibernate available too!
The only thing I was doing in the mean time was freeing the space in Drive C: it was coming near full.
Hibernate needs a Hiberfiles.sys in Drive C:, and it´s size depends on the RAM amount installed.
From what I see, if there is few space on C: hibernate will not be available.

Been searching for a solution for months, and just found it here on this 5-year-old thread. Created an account just to say thanks and confirm this worked for anyone else who stumbles across this after having no luck with other suggested solutions out there for missing hibernate option.
