You could post a screenshot of your task manager showing processes of interest at the top of relevant columns.

But as I say, you may end up chasing something that is solved with all the many updates since your build.

That's one of many threads, more relate to CPU use of say 15-35% by this process.

Sure, here is how my computer is running at the moment. System and compressed memory high disk usage-taskmgr_2016-09-16_00-10-36.png

Right now everything is running smoothly and disk operations are fine. However, it pretty much looks the same when it starts to slow down. When I open a video when it is in a "slow state" the total disk usage says 33% and 0% when idle. When I open it now in the "normal state" the overall usage of the disk shows 2% and 0% when idle. Hopefully this makes sense.

Have there been many updates? My current build is 10586.589 and there are no pending updates at the moment. I'm not sure how Microsoft updates work, but I do know that the anniversary update is still being rolled out to users.

Sorry for the trouble. This has been bothering me a lot since I feel like this has been the cause of my computer freezes a couple weeks ago. It's just now I manage to catch them before it causes a freeze and I restart the computer before anything happens. Checking the health and status of my drives and memory returns no errors which is confusing to me.

Hi, some odd looking services... Killer Network ..Super Charger...
Can't see from that what's using your CPU time ( which won't be of interest unless you think this is with your PC relatively idle- 26% is high)- if you click on the CPU tab that will achieve what I asked.

It would be of interest to see that when s&c memory is using resources.

There have been maybe 3 updates to the anniversary edition and one huge one in the last couple of days.

Here are some screenshots sorted by CPU and disk. I feel like whenever I check on the task manager when the system moves into the slow state, the CPU is never very high. Definitely not the 100% that the other users have reported in regards to the system and compressed memory. Killer Network and Super Charger came with the MSI update service for my computer. Not sure if the killer network needs to be running at all times. I just leave it on since it was installed with my drivers I believe. Super charger is for the mobile device USB charging.

Hi, nothing there stands out.. except the overall CPU use if this is meant to be idle.

This is what I'd be much happier with:

Killer network has been known to cause v. high memory usage. You could remove it if you find a problem with memory...

Closed some of my background game clients like Battle.net and it mirrors what you posted. 1-2% idle. 15% memory usage as well.

Once dalchina mentioned that Killer Network was an odd service, I went ahead and uninstalled it and installed the standalone driver. Maybe this will help my computer in some way.

Good you've reduced the idle CPU use.

Bear in mind system and compressed memory problems are not easy to resolve. I hope by now you will have read some of the threads here.

When the problem occurs again, I hope you will try the upgrade first, rather than fix an old build. Good luck!

Yes, I've been reading through a lot of the threads hoping to find a fix. Like you said, it's best to just see what happens on the new build so I won't try fixing an old build. For now, I'm going to hold off and wait for the anniversary update to become a bit more stable. I read some articles saying that there are some problems. Luckily, my issue can be resolved with a simple restart which is just a minor inconvenience in the big picture. If issues persist, I'll take a closer look under the hood and try to get more information so that a potential fix can be found (once I've updated).

Thank you so much dalchina and lx07 for offering so much advice and being patient with me. I really do appreciate it!
