Computer UNBEARABLY SLOW After Anniversary Update

My computer is unbearably slow after the Anniversary Update. Tried everything I can think of, which is basically CCleaner and SFC /SCANNOW. Nothing has seemed to work. What should I do?

My version of Windows 10 x64 is a free upgrade from Windows 7, if that means anything at all.

I don't really see a point in using System Restore, I could be wrong, since System Restore might had taken me to a point before the Anniversary Update.

    Hi, basics first:
    1. Please post a screenshot (or even a photo!) of your task manager showing anything of interest at the top of the relevant column (click on the relevant tab to order the column).
    2. Is it the same after a clean boot?
    3. How is it in Safe Mode?

Can you confirm the result of SFC /Scannow was clear?

Your comment about System Restore puzzles me- restore points are cleared and restore usually left off after the upgrade- unless maybe you had received some updates subsequent to the upgrade (there are some).

    1. I don't see a "Relevant Column" or "Relevant Tab" in the Task Manager. Do I need to enable something?
    2. I've never done a clean boot and am unfamiliar with how to do this.
    3. How do I get to Safe Mode in Windows 10?
    4. When I run SFC /SCANNOW, I get this error message: Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.

Regarding my comment about System Restore, well, nevermind. To be honest, I don't think that would have helped in this case, considering the problem started and continued with the Anniversary Update. I'll see if I can edit my post to avoid confusion and just either omit that comment or I'll just edit it like I'd just said.

Hi, the message from SFC is indicative, and probably means anything else is irrelevant.

Lets go back a step and check your disk.
What sort of disk(s) do you have in your system?

    1. chkdsk
    From an admin command prompt
[Windows key + X, click command prompt (admin)]
    chkdsk C: /F
Your PC will need to restart.
Make sure the result is clear or fixed.
Post back the result, which you can get after a restart as follows:
How do I see the results of a CHKDSK that ran on boot? - Ask Leo!

    2. Download and install Crystal Diskinfo and run it.
Please post a screenshot like this (or more of its window if you wish)
Computer UNBEARABLY SLOW After Anniversary Update-snap-2016-09-07-08.28.42.jpg

    3. Task manager screenshots:
'relevant tab' - that's just English. Long version:
If you see high CPU use, the relevant tab to click is the CPU tab. If you see high disk use, its the Disk tab. By clicking the appropriate tab you organise the processes, so those using the most resources can be displayed at the top, and are thus visible in the screeenshot. Unfortunately many post screenshots with high CPU use, but the processes using the time aren't shown.

The rest for now is just for interest and explanation responding to your comments. Do nothing with this.

This is from CrystalDisk Info. I did do the chkdsk, I left my computer and heard it reboot a few times, then it went to the troubleshooting blue screen, as I just continued to Windows 10. I tried to get the log but the Event Viewer kept freezing.

    :) that's ok then

Download install and run Macrorit diskscanner. This will check the surface of your HDD.
    Post the result.

If clear, proceed, else you have a drive problem.

Now go to Safe Mode- how responsive is your system?

In Safe Mode open an admin level command prompt
(Windows key + X. command prompt (admin) ) and run
    SFC /Scannow
and post the result. (You may get the same result).
Post the end of the CBS.log file - the last 40 lines or so, say.

Firstly, the Macrorit Diskscanner checked out just fine. Every box was green.

    Code:
Macrorit Disk ScannerDevice: SAMSUNG HD103SJ (931.5 GB)
    Scan area: 0 Byte ~ 931.5 GB
Macrorit disk scanner has checked the storage device and found no problem.
Secondly, I booted into safe mode. I didn't check system stability much, I immediately got into command prompt (admin) and ran sfc /scannow. I got the same problem, it stopped at 12% again, with the same message as from Post #3, which WASN'T in Safe Mode.

EDIT: I renamed the old file and did a new scan.
