Windows 10: Everyday High CPU usage for 2 special service hosting
Everyday High CPU usage for 2 special service hosting
Hello guys I'm a new user through the forums. I have a special problem that I have been noticing from some weeks ago already. Everyday when i'm using my softwares I have a pretty high usage of Hard Disk (100% about what it says in task manager) around 1 time in afternoon and then around 21:00 hours. Task manager shows that all performance is being drained by "Antimalware Service Executable" and "Hosting service: Network/local system". I don't know what are they to be honest but when I select " open place for each file " it opens MsMpEng for antimalware and svchost for the other service.
I have to wait around 10-15 minutes because can't do really anything due to the huge low performance my computer has once those services are active fully. My processor is i5 so even though almost doesn't work when these services are running just I have to wait until they have completed their " process ".
I would really appreciate your help/opinions about this problem because it's really annoying. When I was using previously windows 7 never I used to have this annoying trouble every single day.
P.D: I'm sorry very much for my bad english.
Be nice to all, please?!
I guess you are using Windows Defender.
Try to add this file to the exclusion list:
C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MsMpEng.exe

I am not sure why windows is taking 6.4GB of memory I have only chrome running with four tabs opened.
every single session since the latest update I inevitably spend half an hour sitting with high cpu usage going to the 'service host unistack service group' and its to the point where I'm curious...what is this? what does it do? is its sole purpose...
Can anyone explain what is happening here?
From the moment I switch ON my desktop until switching OFF (working for 12 hours) the local system service host is always between 30% to 40% regarding CPU usage.
Why? How to stop it?
This does not happen...
