Windows 10: Is there a Ready Boost or similar feature ? Solved

Is there a Ready Boost or similar feature ?

From Vista up through Windows 7, there has been a program called Ready Boost which let you boost the RAM memory function using a flash drive or SD card. Is there anything similar in Windows 10 ?

    Thanks in advance, Tom

While it may be called memory, a flash drive is just a disk drive, and not a particularly fast one either. ReadyBoost does not boost RAM memory. It is essentially a disk cache. It is most useful on systems with limited RAM, (less than 4 GB) and slow hard drives. With more memory and a fast disk drive it will do little to nothing. On a system with an SSD it would likely impair performance.
