Browsers and other apps takes too long when open files from disk.

I have my PC reinstalled Windows 10 Pro (clean install) two days ago.
I realize that most apps take long time to load file from disk and removable devices, but using explorer to open it is still normal.

For example when I use IDM and choose location to save files, it take very long to browse to that location, it also happen in all browsers (Chrome 64bits - ver 53, Firefox -ver47, and Opera).

I got SSD for Windows (C:\ ) and HDD (D:\ )for storage, most files locate in D: (D: was defragged)

I've had problems with Windows Defender causing slow downs like this. As a test, turn off Real Timer Protection in Windows Defender, just to see if that resolves the problem. If yes then try a different AV program perhaps?

I'm still using Defender but it slows down some activities, like when I open toolbars from the Taskbar, it takes a long time for them to populate. I may switch to another Av program for awhile to do some testing.
