In Microsoft Edge, the ISO is only 532 bytes in size. Any other ideas?

I am sure you know that is wrong.
I have no idea what is the problem.

The only suggestion I have left for you is to find a friend with a Windows computer.
Use it at his/her home, download the iso file from Tech Bench link and save it to an USB flash drive.
*** Make sure the iso file you are downloading is the same Edition, Language and Bit-version as the one you are using in your computer at home. ***

Take it back home > login to your computer > insert the usb drive > open the usb drive > right click at the iso file > click Mount.........
And continue with the instructions I posted to you in post #2.

I don't know what is wrong in your end.
I just used the link after you posted this reply and the link worked.

Wow, Microsoft doesn't like Chrome, but I still can't find the page from your screen shot.

From IE, I get a "General Information for https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/techbench"

With several suggested urls, none of them techbench. this is the url that comes up when searching for ..../techbench

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/techbench - Search Microsoft.com

I made IE11 my default browser, went to the 'old thread' clicked the link and got to the web page and download the iso, will try the repair in the morning, thanks!

(went back to Chrome as default :))

Weird. Why only IE works for you in this seemingly simple task ?

P.S. I would save that Tech Bench link for future use, and I am sure you will need to.
    A desktop shortcut, perhaps.
