This OP was concerned about trim not being run weekly. If that is not what you are concerned about then I urge you to start a thread of your own.

If you are concerned about trim not running weekly then see my post #13 and the clarification in my post #19

    "
I have an SSD and too much can shorten it's life. ".............Indeed , MS does not care about our expensive hardware !
I will do this once a month , manual, and then set the " Optimize Service " ( in Service Manager) on manual also .
Only this way our SSD will stay healthy...........
( untill MS finally will fix this bug ........if they ever will !)

    Hello.
I have found out that the reason my pc ssds were not being defragged on a daily basis (as requested) was that the Defrag task in Task scheduler is missing the start date for defrag and the interval.
Once these are added the defrag now happens daily as requested.
I believe this is not an error by Microsoft, but simply a lacj of information. The task is set correctly and takes the data from the defrag menu in the drive properties but will not perform without a start date.
You can check this easily by opening the task manager and cjecking the next date of running for Defrag task.

I did a clean install of 2004 on a spare 850 and saw that this issue still hasn`t been fixed. So the 850 went back in its box.

If it gets fixed, I will gladly update to 2004 I hope you`re right Rich

    Everything else seemed fine.
