Windows 10 memory usage for idle too high

Hi guys! Just to fill you all in, i had some issues with my pc so i eventually formatted it completely, using a disc to freshly install the OS. Now after many days of messing around trying to figure out what is going on I see that with steam open(not downloading) and 4 chrome tabs, my memory is 5.5gb of 7.1gb but i have 8gm DDR3 Ram. I've noticed whileplaying some games that it is not much higher but applications like chrome and windows start bar are really slow or will freeze too. could this be related?
If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to help. I'm desperate!

Hi, FWIW with 2 tabs Firefox open, and a lot more small startups than you have, I'd bet, my RAM usage is around 3.4Gb of 8.

Could you please post a screenshot of your task manager showing the top 10 processes organised
    a. by highest CPU use first
    b. by highest RAM use first
(click the appropriate tab to organise)

Unfortunately your screenshot doesn't give this info.

What is gyazowin.exe? Guessing sthg you're using for the screenshot? And what's 'windows start bar' - do you mean the start menu, or some sort of program launch bar?
    Thanks

Hi, my guess would be a memory leak - driver - I'm no expert here. Clearly your RAM use is not allocated to obvious processes and is excessive- that said, there's plenty loaded using RAM not shown in the simple list provided by the task manager.

This is a confusing post at first, but shows ways to get info:

Since it is caused by non-paged pool currently at 3,1 GB, try disabling Network Data Usage Monitoring Driver.

    Start CMD as admin, copy/paste:

    sc config ndu start= disabled

    Enter and restart.

I have the same problem and it did not work.
