You are not fully updated yet.
You should have version 1709 Build 16299.371
When I posted last, it was 16299.334. On April 11, it became 16299.371. Through Windows Settings, I check Windows Update every day just to keep Windows defender to latest status.

I did fully read your posts, you started with 60 seconds and came back to it after fixing the 100 min caused by some additional user creation. thats not a fix to your original issue. now your are saying it's back to 35secs, how?

May be because I pruned my Startup programs.

I have Win 10 x64 Pro and this is on a new PC and a fresh install using UEFI option to install Windows. Initially the PC would start up lighting fast (at the login screen in no more than 10 seconds, maybe less), but it has suddenly become very slow.

It's not the BIOS, as I get the Windows blue logo quite quickly after booting and then the screen moves on to a full plain light blue screen with the circular dot pattern going round and round. This can go on for perhaps 45-60 seconds, maybe more before the login screen finally appears. After that all is fine again.

I tried unplugging all non essential USB connectors but it has not helped. I tried disabling all non essential applications from the Task manager. No noticeable improvement. Where can I start tracking what might be causing Windows to take forever to boot?

    Thanks!
I had a similar problem on my Dell Inspiron R15 n5110 when upgrading to Windows 10 64bit. It paused for about 30 seconds at boot time. In my case it was because of the Intel HD Graphic 3000 driver. I removed the driver and installed an older version from the Dell website. That solved my problem.
