    windows 10 slow boot up

    Hi all
New guy here, butI installed the free windows 10 and when I booted up, I could go to the bathroom, make a sandwich or just look out the window. Talk about SLOW bootup. I tried all the stuff most people talked about but SLOW persisted. Then I read about turning off "fast start up". now that did not make any sense but I gave it a try. It worked, now my system boots very fast. I don't know where I read it, but it works like a charm.

Fast start up is supposed to help when you need certain tasks and programs to start at BOOT time, as you have seen, with normal startup it does quite opposite, slows it down.
