I have never heard of McAfee comes with a computer EXCEPT a trial version.
Perhaps you have a free one year subscription and you will have to pay for subscription renewal when it expires ?
Better double check so there will be no surprise.
No you only get a free 30 day trial of McAfee then have to pay for it
So yes David you are spot on, how I know mine that I paid for is due to run out
Then I will be switching to Windows Defender

Yeah, we had some conversation about that with davidhk a while back: SSD worth it?
Speed isn't really my major priority. Spending money on that is not convincing enough.
Mine has a 600GB hard drive. With almost everything saved to an external hard drive, space is also not an issue.
Besides I am ok with my computer's present performance.

I am an unknown with a random username however I am the best at computers I had no problems with vista even, and I can tell you for sure you don't need ANY programs but if your hard drive fills up go ahead and ccleaner it but you can do everything ccleaner does almost as fast with windows itself and it would be safer but when I occasionally do use ccleaner I never ever ever have a problem and I also use its registry cleaner and literally clean all I have never bothered to check the registry entries I don't check what it's cleaning I just do it all and it works but only when your hard drive is literally full do you need that or windows' built-in ccleaner

I stopped using it about 1 year ago. Since my PC is more stable. Can't say what I was doing wrong. I suspect the registry tool was removing good one

The only cleaner you need is a damp cloth. It does a good job on the shiny surfaces, and it removes fingerprints from the monitor. :)

Any other cleaner is just not necessary.
