Not sleeping HDDs is not going to kill them much faster or even any faster, stress from starting and stopping them often is worse. It's just power saving feature, nothing to do with longevity.
What's that story about "Virtual Memory" on secondary drives ? Windows use "Virtual Memory" on only one specified drive, not on all of them at same time. It also has nothing to do with drive performance, only to supplement amount of RAM.
It's a good idea to move "Virtual Memory" to another disk only in case of very slow system disk and low amount of (free) RAM.
