    Performance help

    Hello guys.
    I have questions.

Im looking for a full-performance settings for my PC. I'll use for game development (w/ VS and MonoGame) and Gaming. So after a clean install...

    Specs: Win 10 x64, GPU 750M i7

    • Should I remove built-in features in windows 10?
    • Is K-Lite Codecs realy necessary?
    • What services can I disable that wont affect myself? (I won't use Xbox win10 platform)
    • As a good computer user, I know what kind of risks I have. Is Windows Defender OK or I need AV and a Malware tool?
    • MSConfig settings will help?
    • Can I disable my Intel Graphics driver to set my GPU as default for my monitor or is there another way to do it? (I don't care about power usage).
    • Is there a performance post with all information needed to perform a clean install and setup a new OS for the best settings performance ?

    Thanks :)

I remove all, but NET Frameworks, I also disable IPv6 and delete all network protocols.

No, if you are using something like MPC-HC or VideoLAN and do not edit videos and such.

That is a hard one, there is no universal advice for all, it depends, what windows features or various software you are using, eg I disable PrintSpooler, because I do not have a printer and so on.

You can start researching here: Black Viper Black Viper, but basically you will find out by trial and error.
You can also look at my config for sugestions about services and other stuff: [Batch] Windows 10 Tweaks.

It is OK, that means average, you could try something like 360 Total Security Essential
WD sometimes causes high CPU/RAM/HDD usage for no apparent reason, not scanning.

There are better tools like Autoruns or CCleaner's startup manager.

Sorry, can not really help you at that one.
