Is Win-10's CHKDSK utility any more superior than that of Win-7

when i select time for windows 10 alarm utility, there is no sound of alarm, i have tried different sound but all in vain at the time of alarm, alarm becomes off - - - Updated - - - i also check the speaker it is set to 100273056

after running seatools for dos long test ,it is supposed to give me an option for repair the drive, if it is a segate drive, but i have run the long test and it did not give me this option, has any body got an idea as to why? Thanks
