So, what I ended up doing was doing a factory reset (after I backed up my important files, of course), and after that, viola, the computer is running better than it ever has before, all sorts of small issues I have been having for ages (some all the way back from when I got the computer), are simply gone. And all this is after it was taken to a computer repair place and was told the viruses were too deep to get rid of, and also that he suspected the hard drive was having problems, and that I should send it to the manufacturer and get a new hard drive, but before I did that I decided I should do a factory reset and see if that fixed it (which would mean it was just viruses causing the problems), and it did fix it, so it seems the hard drive is fine and it was the fault of the viruses. And not only that, but it really feels like I should have reset the computer months ago, haha! Yay happy endings!
