You need to tell us more about your system specs, it seems that your laptop overheats and need cleaning.

You may have to take it to a competent person and repaste the CPU.

sorry to bother, but my laptop randomly goes into some kind of stand by mode. the screen just turns black and it shuts itself down, but if i press the on button it just continues with whatever i was doing, nothing is gone, the weird thing is that it does'nt matter what i am doing. i can be playing games, watching videos, writing in a word document, just watching my screen, doesnt matter. i just don't know what to do anymore, i really don't know anything about computers so i'm kinda scared what is gonna happen
Strange part about this is when press power button it continues where it left off, sounds like it's hibernating. Why don't you use HWMonitor or HWInfo to check temps.

    Solved for me

Hey guys, I experienced random shut downs as well after installation of 2nd AMD GPU to X-fire. After few unsuccesfull attempts of installing X-fire I eventually made it but PC start to shut down randomly. Exceptions was safe mode or start-up virus check and RAM test. Temperatures of all components were OK. I tried another RAM and PSU with no change and was expecting that my new Mobo was damaged. But after changing PSU my PC instead of shutting down went reseting quicky after Windows start-up, and after while offering choice to repair Win 10 installation. It was fresh so I decided qucikly and surprisingly it helped. I have all original components (RAM, PSU) back on Mobo with no shut downs. It's strange it was caused by OS, went through Win XP, Vista for long years and haven't heard about this experience ever. I hope you'll find it usefull and have not to buy new HW or claim its warranty.
