Windows 10: RAM at 90% even when Laptop is idle.
RAM at 90% even when Laptop is idle.
Can anyone please help me? Yesterday, I did my weekly maintenance using CCleaner, ASC 9 Pro & Smart Defrag. After rebooting my laptop, i noticed a sudden increase in boot time and after logging in, also a sudden HUGE increase in RAM usage, from the normal 35-40% to about 96% even when my laptop is idle. After restarting several times and Uninstalling some apps including ASC 9 Pro, the RAM problem still won't go away, The only time it does is when i either run an antivirus scan (Panda Free AV) or an ASC Scan (already uninstalled), After that, The RAM goes back to normal until i restart my laptop again . Also, the RAM cleaner only reduces RAM usage by about 20% (not much help). This is very irritating since i optimized my laptop to be the gaming-type . I don't know what might have caused this that's why i came here for help. I tried to do a system restore but i forgot it was turned off . Here are some screenshots of the task manager, I hope this would help:
I know this might not be enough to find out the cause, so feel free to ask me if there's anything i could add. Thanks in advance
This is not an issue but more a curiosity. I have the old Windows cup / ram monitor running as a gadget on Windows 10. When the PC is idle for a few minutes I notice the cup usage always spikes to around 10-13% and stays around that mark. As soon as...
When I have my webcam security software running all day (12-hours), the laptop runs fine. But when I shut the software down and then leave the laptop idle, it locks up.
It also happens when I start the laptop up and just leave it sit idle. So...
Recently I built a new computer, started using Windows 10 with it. Ever since, I've had at least 10+ BSOD. It seems to be most common during a video game. It's happened at low cpu usage also, though.
I've attached two recent BSOD debugs. I wanted...
Why Windows 10 use 1gb of ram at idle (32bit)? Can I turn of something? Thats too much. Windows 8.1 used below 500mb.
Also my part of the screen on the left is black. I have radeon 4650, windows found drivers but probably I will need drivers from...
I just noticed that my i7 2600K (overclocked) is not stepping down when idle in Win10 (10166).
I haven't even checked in another build. But when switching back to win 8.1 no problem. Stepping down in MHz and Volt.
I have minimum to 5% and max to...
