as far as i know, system32 on 64bit system must contain 64bit versions of files, but mine contain 32 bit versions even after windows reinstall (those type, when big windows.old directory remains after)
so i wasnt able to run, for example sfc /scannow, until the moment i manualy replaced sfc

is it normal? if no, how to automatically fix it? or at least, would it be ok to manually replace all files in system32, that have their versions in WinSxS/amd64* directories?

My Win7 64-bit has the same sfc.exe and DISM files in C:\Windows\System32 and in C:\Windows SysWOW64. The WOW part stands for Windows On Windows. It's an AMD CPU so I also other copies in subFolders of Windows. I usually have no problem running such applets from the Run dialog box.
