How to permanently disable system protection?

    I understand that. Point is, programs should not do this without notification. Or if they do it, they should return it to it's previous state when they are done. I can't think of another example like this. I want System Protection off and I want it to stay off until I turn it back on again. That should be possible. Currently, apparently, it's not and it should be fixed.

    I've got the opposite problem actually. I'm constantly updating to the latest insider builds and every single time it turns system protection off (when I want it on) and also enables hibernation which I don't want.

    I do agree with you - it would be nice if you changed something and it stayed changed but I just run a script setting everything back to how I want it as I don't know a better way.
