    Left click mouse

    Hi all.

Ive searched and googled until Im exhausted, finallay joined here to see if theres help.

Using win10 om acer aspire laptop.
I changed my mouse to a wired red led light under neath.
Now whenever I left click on a file/folder/picture etc etc on the desktop nothing happens
    Its set for single click
If i click again then another file/folder/picture opens at random.

I then have to go back to the original file/folder/picture i want to open and double click it.
Then the file/folder/picture I want to open ...opens.

    I have changed the mouse 2 x
    Updated driver
    Updated all windows updates.
Changed from single click to double click (even in double click nothing changes)
Have malware, advanced system care, spybot, sfc, checkdisk, adaware, system restore, even borrowed a wireless mouse...........still the same happens everday

Can someone help me, as it only happens on the desktop, where most of my files/folder are

    Thanks

    Perform the following steps:
    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy or paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    4) chkdsk /scan
    5) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
    6) Net user test /add
    7) Shutdown /r
    8) When the computer reboots sign on with the new user named test
    9) Check the performance of the mouse with the new user named test and report the results into the thread

If you put the old mouse back does it work correctly?

What is the make and model number of the new mouse?
