Slow shutdown since installing build 10586.3 Solved

    Slow shutdown since installing build 10586.3

    So earlier today I installed the new build of Windows 10 and since then my shutdown time has increased to 1 minute 27 seconds. Strangely though my boot time is actually faster.

    Can someone help diagnose what might be wrong? I've checked my event viewer but for some strange reason there are no Shutdown Performance Monitoring Logs.

    I just recovered using a system image I created when I first clean installed Windows 10, then I simply updated again to the latest build. It seems alright now. To be honest, the first time I installed the build it was fine, but I'm the type of person who likes to keep the system images I make up to date if there is a significant update. So I went back to the earlier system image, updated all my programs and then updated Windows 10 so I could then create the new image, it was then that my shutdown problem happened. I simply repeated the process again and it seems to have worked.
