Security event Audit Success is triggered every time any USB device is connected, which means now there are only two possible problem causes:

    • hardware issue
    • driver issue

Thanks, I have located my composite device and all its 3 devices, I went into the regedit and found the keys, but there was nothing like "power in there" although, as per Windows 8.1 temporary workaround - The Corsair User Forums I have disabled those keys, restarted. Same problem. Then I decided to change almost every related key to 0, restarted. Problem still prevails.

So it was a hardware issue. After replacing the faulty mouse with a new one, everything works as it should.
