    Slow Boot debugging advice

    Hello,
since I've installed win10 I notice a Slow cold boot (restart) compared to my old win8.1.

I'm talking of a fresh CLEAN installation, so no bloatware printer drivers or other stuff.

I'm trying to debug the issue and recorded LOGS from my clean install boot, both with:

    1. Process Monitor
    2. Windows Performance Recorder

If anyone could interpret them and could give me some help I will post the link.

    Thanks a lot

    Hello axe0, thanks for support.

    This is the link: https://goo.gl/c2Jaz7
To a shared folder with 2 *.zip files.

    1. Process Monitor Logs (clean install and actual system)
    2. Win Perf Recorder Logs (clean install and actual system)

If anybody can have a look and interpret the results, I have a strange slow boot even with clean install, a black screen after booting for 60 seconds, if i move the mouse, the cursor appears, and after i get the logon screen

    Thanks for the help

If you are concerned about a slow boot, the event viewer logs will provide far better information.
    Event Viewer/Applications and Services Logs/Microsoft/Windows/Diagnosis-Performance/Operational
Expand event IDs 100 and 200 and post the results.

Unfortunately, I cannot read the download from your attachment. Can you post a JPEG?

I have 56 events (different days...) with details, a screenshot will not include all the info,
or maybe I don't understand what u need, can you post a jpeg yourself so i have idea?

what kind of error you get opening my file?

Try with this one, it inlcudes Boot_events.evtx + LocaleMetadata Folder, unzip both in same folder and retry

What about the other logs? Process MOnitor and Windows recorder, they are very complete and gives also timeline and graphics of boot process,

    anybody can interpret those?

    Thanks

I recommend you change your Boot event logs setup.
You only see how long it is taking, but not what is causing it to take so much time
How to Use Event Viewer to Find Your PCs Boot Time
With this setup, I know that the PCI.sys driver took 38ms to load which is 12ms longer then expected, from 3 days ago.

I haven't checked yet the zips that are 100MB+ as they are still downloading.
