Mine has done this thru every update. When I shut my laptop lid it sleeps of course but after it sits for some hours and I open the lid it just stay black. I can use my fn + sleep key and then the power button will go out. Then if I hit fn + sleep again it will wake up fine. I don't want to download a program to fix this.

    Any other option?

    My suggested solutions
    1. uninstall your network card driver. restart computer. check to see if your problem is gone.
    2. If 1. doesn't work. Create a new balanced power plan by change shut down and sleep times. Save it. Restart computer and change the balanced power plan back to default settings. Restart your computer again and see if your problem is gone.

Just about every cumulative update on win10 has caused the poweplan, including advanced power options, or power settings on the network card to be upset causing sleep or shutdown and restart normally issues. It has not been caused by BIOS settings incorrectly set. Make sure your chipset driver is the most current too. MS generic drivers and control software is not going to fit every single computer on this planet, happy that I can usually fix the issue by finding answers here on the forum or individual research.
