    Ram Mhz Cut In Half

I have a 16Gb dual channel kit with 2133mhz of speed My computer reads that i have all 16gb but I cant run 2133mhz without overclocking and im not going to be doing that anytime soon. Here is the issue when i go into my bios settings to adjust the Mhz I put it to 1600Mhz when i boot into windows it says Im actually only running at 800Mhz so its cut in half. The manufacturer of my motherboard says the mother board can only handle 1866Mhz of ram. So i adjust it to 1866Mhz and some games dont even want to start up and again my computer tells me its really at 933Mhz. I am running 64bit so that shouldn't be an issue

What i know it split the frequencies in half by channels DDR double data rate 933MHZ times 2 = ( 933x2 ) 1866mhz speed
Really need to know is the amount of sticks used. Are they XMP ? Check BIOS for XMP profile.
If this is 2133MHZ you should then usually see 1066MHZ each channel.

So for true speed of 2133MHZ each should be 1066mhz. Recheck BIOS settings and make sure RAM is correct for motherboard.
Did you just buy them , right ?

xmp is disabled and to get to 2133mhz I'd have to overclock my motherboard Maufacturer says it only handles 1866Mhz So does it show that i only have 800Mhz but its really just x2? Right now I only have it set at 1600Mhz some games don't start when i have at 1866Mhz

Board here and memory that is compatible as not sure of model G.skill http://us.msi.com/support/mb/A68HM-E33.html#support-mem
Set BOIS for now at default settings, if possible give us the exact RAM model or check the list at the link.
Also a BIOS update that states Improved RAM compatibility http://us.msi.com/support/mb/A68HM-E...pport_download

I have a PNY 16GB dual channel memory kit with 2133Mhz ddr3 and its not showing up on the list Only one thats 16 gb is showing that it can only be ran at 1333 Mhz so should i try lowering the Mhz down to 1333? Should I install the latest bios since it has improved memory compatibility?

For one i would not yet be trying to overclock my RAM if i am having issues with it, i would set the BIOS to default settings for all, if not had tried this yet. So what was exact model number of PNY ? Not sure where you are lowering it, but would think 1066MHZ for 2133MHZ. Think that is highest frequency it can run at 2133mhz.

    PNY 16GB 2133MHz Dual 2x8GB Modules MD16384KD3-2133-X11
On my bios it gives the option to change the ram Mhz from 1333Mhz , 1600Mhz, 1866Mhz, and 2133Mhz
It doesnt show 800Mhz for 1600Mhz and etc.

Is the RAM XMP ? Only going to run at the intended speed of the board and chipset unless overclocked, which might not recommend right now.
Motherboard manual where i received this from http://us.msi.com/support/mb/A68HM-E33.html#down-manual
