Windows wont wake from any mode

Whether it is going to slp or hbnte it wont wake. I am using a laptop and with Win8 when i lift the screen it shows the logon screen. Right now it wont do that. I press power and hold it and no go, so i have to hold the power button till off and then turn back on again, so for now i have disabled those features.

    Hi xboxhaxorz,

This is a known problem, but it could be caused by the upgrade, system files or a bug.
After upgrading, did you perform a clean install?

    Please do the following:

    • Open an admin command prompt
    • Copy/paste "sfc/scannow" (without quotes) and press enter
    • When it finished reboot your system
    • Open again an admin command prompt
    • Enter sfc/scannow again

If sfc/scannow does NOT say "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violation", please upload the cbs.log file located at {windows partition}\Windows\Logs\CBS\, if the file is too large try a 3rd party uploader like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, mediafire etc.
System File Check(SFC a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection) needs to have your system rebooted in order for sfc to try to fix the problems that it finds.

Yes after upgrade i actually put a new SSD in and clean installed
About 5 dys ago i did a reset with option to keep my files, and after that all power features functioned properly as of 2:00 on the 25th, however i returned to my laptop at 6:00 to find it will not wake and was forced to restart

I performed both sfc scans with no issues

This is a problem in Windows self, this is something Microsoft needs to fix.
You can give Microsoft feedback using their feedback app, a lot of users are having this problem.

There is no need to look at the logs when SFC says there is no violation.
