Up to you and what ever the manual recommends.

You'd be better off asking this question in the manufacturer's forum because irrespective of what anyone here offers, you'll be better off guided by the conditions of the warranty, not someone's personal opinion in a public discussion forum.

    Ask Dell direct.

And we're discussing this in the 10 forum ? As "new", I would have expected it to have Windows 11 installed .....

If it is new then yes duh, your machine obviously should be able to work out of the box. I am sure I would tweak a bunch of settings but again you should not fear sleep with any new brand-name or not computer

Any electrical appliance left turned on at the mains switch is a fire risk so it's always safest to turn them off. My desktop PC & monitor is always off at the mains when not in use since it only takes a few seconds to boot.
What about TVs? Anything that can be turned on with a remote control really never turns off, always stays in standby.

Same applies. My TVs are off at the mains switch when not used. The only things powered on 24/4 are fridge, freezer and gas boiler.
