i've also attached a screenshot from event viewer detailing the same problem. I have tried everything for a sfc scan with came back with no errors to resetting the menu in CMD. Is this anything to worry about or not?

    Solution:

    - Open Regedit (as user)

    - Go to the users HKU hive

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

    - Right click on the "User Shell Folders" key

    - Select "Permissions"

    - Click the "Advanced" button

    - Check the "Replace all child object permission entries with inheritable permission entries from this object"

    - Click on "Enable inheritance"

    - Click "OK"

    - Restart the PC and Start/Search/Notification Area should be all functional again.

Hi, can anyone confirm the solution posted above worked? I know there are other threads/posts around the internet where no solution has been shared in those threads and there is no indication here that the reported error was resolved.

    Hey
I’ve marked it as solved as it did solve it. That is why there is a green tick

    Hey again
you're probably better off opening a new thread. I have more than one user on this computer to an unrelated issue i had about 3 1/2 years ago
