    Windows is getting slower overtime

If I don't restart it after maybe few days
I usually just put the laptop to sleep when I am done using it and I almost never have a reason to restart it but little by little, everything starts to feel more and more sluggish.

Acourding to the up time, the last restart was 31 days ago
The memory usage keeps grounding over time, for example, after restart it is at 4gb and right now it is at 10gb and the commit charge is at 15gb(this thing barely goes down no matter what I do)

Latest Win10 Home and I have 16GB or ram
When I restart, everything works fine for a while and then it slows down again little by little(the OS is on an SSD)
Acourding to System Informer, there is nothing that uses a lot of memory

How much free space do you have on C: ?

Have you changed the status of any Windows services?

You may have a memory leak.

    If you search generally for
    memory leak

    you will learn more. E.g.

What Is a Memory Leak and How Do They Happen?

Diagnosing this is relatively hard.. you could try a simple process of elimination. Start with a clean boot and see if you (over enough time) experience the same symptom.

If not, enable more startups until it recurs.

A clean boot does not disable everything added. Autoruns (free from MS) lets you disable more. Avoid disabling MS items.

You already found a solution: Restart once in a while.
With a SSD it can take 25 sec to be ready to use. You're going to waste much more time digging for another solution.
I suggest you disable Fast Startup. Is more part of a problem than part of a solution.

Ok I will check the next time windows start working slowly(I just restarted and now everything if running very smoothly)
I have 128GB SSD and I save on it as less as possible(57gb free)

The commit charge drop from 15gb to 7gb and the ram usage from 10gb to 5.6gb(same programs running as before)

It's annoying having to restart because I have to set up things again after restart and sort things before restarting
I don't use fast startup,it eats so much free space just for a little faster boot(which I don't use since I leave the laptop in sleep mode, just normal sleep,no hybernation)

    1. Check via task manager for CPU, DISK and memory usage, the 3 of them.
    2. As others suggested, check for free space on your disk.
    3. Add to the menu the usual hard disk check (perhaps there are bad or slow sectors on it), and check the health.
    4. IF you have an SSD, check the health, and try to keep it below 65% full

Any of those factors will keep your computer on a slow(er) state.

It's very difficult to tell without seeing details or specifics. I'll give you an example, Adobe Indesign has a repeating bug on diff versions where an extra program runs and consumes CPU or memory, or both, and you do notice the slowing down. A common solution is to create a batch program to kill the process once in a while.

Also, as explained above, fast startup can be part of the problem; full restart is often the best thing to clean your memory and avoid old stuff running and accumulating.

    Check your drivers too.
