    system protection disk percentage.


    Hi,

    this isn't the 1st time I see that previous settings of system protection disk usage/settings are reset to 0.
    I usually set system protection ON for C: drive, restore system files and about 5% disk usage.

    I did a restore point some days ago and as my systems keeps puzzling me I though of restorlng it. I went to and found system protection still ON, no restore point and disk usage to 0%. That's not the 1st time...

    The only 3rd party maintenance software installed is macrium, installed a few days ago to restore an old W7 image.

    What could cause this ?

    Whilst feature updates - and maybe occasionally an update - might be repsonsible, there have been none of the first, and won't be for Win 10- now.

    I've not seen this with SR recently myself- and I did have to uninstall, reinstall Macrium Reflect like one or two others after the January update.

    MR makes use of VSS, as does SR. I suppose there may be some kind of correlation which could cause what you've seen, but I've not and I wouldn't expect any.
