You should have upgraded to 16 GB of RAM many years ago.

Waste of time with the CPU, it is already a 2c4t CPU.

HDD to SSD, Apps will start quicker, updates a bit quicker, but in general use doubt if you will objectively notice the difference.

The Laptop is 9 years old and near the end of life so minor upgrades are not worth it.

    Hi

Here's the result of my Seagate 500-GB HDD drive. Is this good or bad?

Bad. Replace it with a Samsung 870 EVO SSD, as recommended in another post. If the results are not satisfactory, discard the laptop, reuse the SSD in another computer or as an external USB disk. Don´t waste money in anything that only works in this laptop, memory, etc.

Edit. Results of a Samsung EVO 870 in a ThinkPad E460:

A SSD is the biggest improvement on computing since multi core CPU.

You should have started with the SSD
On my old HP450 I installed a small SSD (120G) for windows and programs and replaced the ODD with a HDD caddy. Total US$30

Just to give you an idea... these are all gaming laptops. You can see the filters I used at the top.
They are sorted by... Price low to high...

    Gaming laptops

Non-gaming laptops, same filters and sorting...

On a laptop I think the only worthwhile upgrade is to replace the laptop.
Piece-by-piece upgrades aren't worth the price, nor the effort.
    Just get a new laptop.
