Windows disk Defrag/Optimize wont analyze SSD?

TL;DR at one random morning, i opened this and saw that the Optimize Drives program will no longer let me analyze my SSD drives for some reason. I did the holy trinity of error check tools (dism, sfc, chkdsk), all ran back negative for anything bad, so i grabbed a windows 10 ISO, ran a repair install, tried again, still remains greyed out, i even ran a bevy of virus checks, and still nada. There was a brief instance where this GUI program would NOT open today, but after doing some deep digging and finding this cmd line arg below, i ran it, tried opening the Disk Optimizer, and it worked again
    Code:
    for %1 in (*.dll) do regsvr32 /s %1
I do remember this not being like this, where i could even analyze my SSD drives with the default windows GUI program below, yet only NOW it starts doing this? So......what's going on?

Edit: Yes, i just realized i can do all of this in the command prompt with
    Code:
    Defrag C: /a /u /v
cmd args, but i'd like to attempt to tackle the GUI button issue before i decide "forget it"

Same here its like that, by default there is nothing to analyze as the SSD drives don't get fragmented.

I have never seen option to analyze SSD if you want you can analyze SSD using Defrag command from Command Prompt.

Do NOT defrag SSD. That is for HDDs where things move around to access data and access time varies. Defragmentation is to help reduce the effect of physically distributed clusters containing parts of the same file.

SSD addressing and access time is the same for everything everywhere.

Why is it not advised to defrag a solid state drive? - Quora

How many times have we gone in circles on this - the optimisation menus trim if ssd and defrag if an HDD.

All you have to do is hit the optimise button to trim.

The reason the analyse button is greyed out is because SSD trimming is a lower level function i.e. SSDs do not need analysing and you do not have HDDs to analyse.

i apologize for any confusion over this, i did not intend this to think that i WANTED to defrag my SSD, i know that instead of defragging, it TRIMS it instead. overall, i guess i got my answer, and again, i apologize for my 5head moment and i accept the duncehat for this thread here (and beyond)
