There may well be a big difference in the scanning speed of the Online scanner and Nod32 (installed) As usual any resident Antivirus should be disabled when running the online scanner. Mine scanned a 48GB volume in 15 minutes.

    There's always the 30 day trial of Nod32 V8. http://www.eset.co.uk/Download/Software/Product/EAVH

Well, Hiren's Boot CD is hardly <cough> legal <cough> lol
I downloaded that a couple of years ago, as some people said it was handy for fixing broken systems.
I tried it a couple of times, but I didn't find it useful and I just use a Live Linux CD/DVD to fix issues (like I did before trying Hiren's).

As for Suse, somethings gone on because it won't delete it automatically on default settings. It defaults to "no action"
When the ESET scan finished there was a screen with 2 options:
    • View threats
    • Manage Quarantine

The "Manage Quarantine" screen looked like your screenshot, except the final column was empty (i.e. no options).
There was a "Restore" button at the bottom of the Window.
Each item had to be selected and restored individually.

The "View Threats" screen listed all of the same detections that were shown in the "Manage Quarantine" screen (which included the OpenSUSE ISOs).
The results had descriptions of the action taken:
    • Cleaned
    • Deleted
    • Deleted - Quarantined

The OpenSUSE installers were marked "Deleted".
I could not restore them from the "Manage Quarantine" screen and there they were deleted from their original locations.

Did you have opt out options to avoid those toolbar's at the beginning ? I see your running Eset , it's the only one that seems to pick these toolbars up lol.
As I mentioned previously, when I run the installer (in W7) I'm not offered any additional items (toolbars or programs).

I tried scanning with ESET, as you mentioned it is the only scanner you've tried that complains about possible "nasties".

Most who download CCleaner exe are insistent that they are not installed on their system but running Eset online scanner with the appropriate boxes checked will reveal them .
All of the complaints/detections were about various installers.
No installed programs were flagged (i.e no problems indicated in "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)").

Ok , here's how it would appear to work. The first time Ccleaner is installed (on a new install for instance) it gives you the option to decline the toolbar. On subsequent upgrades of the programme it doesn't give you the option. It remembers your initial answer.

Interesting thread from the Ccleaner forum. http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?...43294&hl=nod32
Some installers do remember the settings you've chosen.

I hate the installers that force you to check every option each time you update.
As I have created categories in my Start Menu, I especially hate the installers that won't remember (or don't even ask for) the Start Menu location that you wish to use.

Is this new?, seems to be. During Ccleaner installation this appears.

I suppose they've got to get their money from somewhere ,
    I've never seen that offer.

It scanned my entire system which has 6.5TB of HDD storage (~5TB is in use).

That would seem to make sense, as I have not always gotten the Chrome option when installing, and I have installed CCleaner several times being an MS insider. BUT, I never put any Goggleness on my PC.

I'm really kind of anal about keeping extra things off the system and finding native solutions. CCleaner was 1 of those exceptions along with Sandboxie, Firefox, and Malewarebytes. I'm also the same way about browser plugins, it's some kind of weird OCD.

So, I'd know for sure if I had ever installed a googleness on my PC because of my affliction. CCleaner had to of placed this toolbar secretly.
