I also just noticed this from the information the C drive? and the one in question? is a ST3400620AS? which is a old platter style drive which is 7200RPM that is going to be around 80mb/s to 180MB/s roughly.

This is pretty slow and on a motherboard like that you will have Sata 3 and possibly early M.2 which are considerably faster than 180MB/s

Having such a slow drive as your main C drive is not going to help your situation. Drives like that one are only good for storage and applications but not as a main drive.

Here's the command prompt. Am I supposed to find a log and look at it or is this mean my page file is ok?

I've been using this computer for about 10 of it's 14 years as primarily my email and internet browsing computer and this new task manager problem of the Disk at 100% at times and the power usage up to very high when I do something like open Chrome has only been happening since Friday. The freezing and extreme sluggishness hasn't happened for 2.5 days. Yet before all this started I was getting some freezing, mostly with my email program. The freezing would last for about 3-15 sec, then was ok, this minor freezing problem has been going on for a year. I figured the EM Client program was freezing when it needed resources.

Over a year ago when I did the Memtest USB test for RAM I got 1 or 2 errors once then 7 errors another time. I was surprised when I did the Memtest a few days ago that there were no errors on a 12 hour test. I was using my 80 gig SATA which is older than the 400 gig SATA that I currently use.

I do have some power supplies on inactive computers that I can use. But it would be nice to somehow test this power supply first before replacing it.

It doesn't look like the page file is part of the problem.

Still need assessment of max achievable data transfer rate. As Malneb said, looking ONLY at disk usage is not very meaningful on its own.

Given the age of the MBO there's a chance that some driver incompatibility has led to any such limit.

Noting there are some 5 disks, please ensure you have checked what Hard D Sentinel says about each one.

    When did this start?
It started around Friday with the 100% Disk. How do I get assessment of max achievable data transfer rate? There are not 5 disks, only 1 HD with a data partition. There is a 2nd data HD I removed saturday temporarily to test it, I'll put it back in today and see what happens

Not 5? I looked at your specs... ok that's not the PC you're talking about then... hard to keep track with threads like that.
Hard Drives: 5 HD's - OS drive 250GB SSD, Samples drive 500GB SSD, 3 data HDs - total of 18T
It started around Friday with the 100% Disk.
Have a look at your Update History - including drivers (at the bottom). Any updates around then?
    Did you make any changes?

    - You could try using a System Restore point if you have one created before that.

How do I get assessment of max achievable data transfer rate?
As I've posted before on threads like
    100% disk usage
    slow transfer rate

Get a really large file - say 1Gb+ - maybe an iso file e.g.
Simply copy it back to the same folder (say).
Monitor the transfer rate (task manager) and the file explorer transfer dialogue- capture a screenshot a few seconds after the transfer starts- wait for the rate to stabilise.

Win Updates. I think this is what you're asking for. I only update every few months

Encouraging that you're getting better - but still low- transfer rate... but what I was looking for for the transfer rate was a screenshot like this (from one of the previous threads on slow transfer rate)
PC running Windows 10 appalling file transfer speed

As I said- task manager - transfer rate- shown in Performance tab, Disk, plus file explorer's dialogue.

    ==========================
Updates: are you saying you only enable Windows Update (including drivers) every few months?
And therefore that updates could not have occurred before this problem started?

What actually is your Windows build? (winver).

    Gsvr.exe:
GSvr.exe Windows process - What is it?
    - probably not significant in respect of this problem.
