How fast can Windows 10 bootup?

I have seen other pc's bootup very quick compared to mine.
From power on to log in screen to Desktop. Mine takes about 2:25 minutes. I removed some items in the Startup tab in Task manager and the startup time is now 1:35

I see a Macrium Reflect System Recovery boot screen.
I choose the Windows 10 option. Then the Log in screen then the Desktop load.
See list of the Startup Apps below.

Question: What are the bootup times times other people here are getting and what did you do to bootup faster?

    Current Startup Apps:
    7+ Taskbar Tweaker
    Bitdefender agent
DesktopOK - locks icons in place
    EPSON Status Monitor 3
    Macrium Reflect Ul Watcher
    Plex Media Server
    Snagit
    Sound Blaster Control Panel
    --------------------------------

    Windows 10 pro 22H2 installed Feb 2, 2023
    Samsung 2TB SSD
    Gigabyte Technology Z97X-UD5H from 2015
    3.50 gigahertz Intel Core i5-4690K
    256 kilobyte primary memory cache
1024 kilobyte secondary memory cache. 6144 kilobyte tertiary memory cache
    64-bit ready. Multi-core (4 total). Not hyper-threaded

Disable all the "Current startup apps " and only have them start as required.
Windows Defender is as good as any other.

My main laptop takes 68 seconds from power button press to desktop ready for use [including the 8 secs taken to start Task mgr & run a script checking a few critical items].
The Windows setting, Fast start, is off.
The Bios setting, Fast boot, is on.
    Dell Inspiron 17-7779 from 2016.
My 2020 desktop & new 2023 laptop are much quicker.

I disabled several Task mgr, Startup tab items. I investigated some first but others I just disabled and found that no problems appeared.

What loading impact does Task manager, Startup tab describe each of them as having - High, Medium, Low?
Do you really need the High ones?

Whilst I have only ever used it for experiments, I seem to recall that the time its menu stayed onscreen could be decreased below its default value.

    A few factors:
If you have an multicore I7 or I9 Intel and your boot drive is a NVMe, i.e. Samsung 980 Pro with sustained 3,000 MB/sec read speeds and you have i.e. 16 GB DDR4 RAM and you start up out of hibernation, you can be ready to rock 'n' roll in less than 5 seconds.

If you have a DuoCore with a SATA Gen I. or IDE boot drive with some 4 GB RAM you'll likely can utilize the time to go to the bathroom or make a sandwich while your machine boots up.

If you have an UNIVAC in your garage that'll take quite a bit longer, first the vacuum tubes all have to heat up to work... your operating crew will be busy...

At 2.25 minutes I would have assumed you have a HDD, but you don't.

If you had a HDD, using 'Fast Startup' could help. However, a few users find that causes problems. Not recommended for a SSD- I found it might save a second or so.

Using a SSD means you should expect cold boot to lock screen to be under, say, 9s, depending on your choice of disk and other hardware.

Do not get confused between startups (as shown in, say, the task manager) and what happens in the period from boot to lock screen.

If you wish to analyse your boot time, the appropriate tool is the WPA (Windows Performance Analyser and Recorder) - free from MS. This is a somewhat advanced technical tool that requires some experience and presents events in a graphical bar form.

2 examples of what caused slow boot
    a. In a recent thread someone found that they had a USB drive connected whilst booting.
The machine was hanging on 'Readyboost'.

    b. In 2 or 3 others, it was an accumulation of temporary files. Try running Disk Cleanup.

It is not at all the case that randomly disabling startups will reduce boot time significantly or address the problem
Of course, there's always the chance you might get lucky..

You should also check there is no unreasonable limit on your maximum disk data transfer rate.

My new desktop PC takes about 20s from pressing the power on button to the login screen not using fast startup. Your PC is way too slow for a SSD system drive. I would use Autoruns to see what third party stuff is loading and disable items you don't need.

Check your %temp% folder. Are there tens of thousands of files here? That can cause extremely slow startup times. In theory, Windows SHOULD manage this, but there was a time where I ran into this issue frequently. I would have to manually empty the contents of that folder manually to solve the issue.
