Sometimes I cannot make sense why a system will boot rapidly or not. I have a Mini PC that boot from a cold off to being on the desktop in 18 seconds. However, I have a FAR more powerful desktop system that takes longer than 18 seconds just to get to the point in POST where is shows the ASUS logo on the screen. I suspect that it may be doing a RAM test and since that system has 128GB RAM, that may be what is slowing it down but cannot say this for sure.
I have noticed this on my pc. I shut down pc every night. When I boot up the next morning it takes longer. I forget the time though. I'll check in the morning.
I call this a cold boot when the pc has been powered off all night.
I call a warm boot if I shut down and boot back up.
I think it has something to do with residual power still in the pc and it drains overnight. Just thinking out loud here.
